Recently featured in the AFR, the Fellowship has supported 54 fellows who are strengthening organisations and communities across the sector.

Featuring: Leadership Address, David Thodey AO
David Thodey AO is an Australian business leader and investor whose career spans business, healthcare, technology, public policy, research, education and corporate governance. He currently serves as Chair of Xero and Ramsay Health Care, and in July 2024 was appointed the 19th Chancellor of the University of Sydney. He also co-chairs the Great Barrier Reef Foundation and is a member of the Reserve Bank of Australia Governance Board. Over his career, he has held numerous board positions, including Chair of CSIRO and Tyro, and has led several federal and state government reviews. Prior to his non-executive career, Mr Thodey was CEO of Telstra and previously CEO of IBM Australia and New Zealand. He has been widely recognised for his contributions to business and public life, holding honorary doctorates from Deakin University, the University of Technology Sydney and the University of Sydney. In recognition of his ethical leadership and service to Australia, he was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO).
In recognition of the strong social and economic significance of the non-profit sector to theAustralian community, the Harvard Club of Australia offers two Fellowships to attend the highly regarded six-day course Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management in July each year at Harvard Business School. These fellowships are generously funded by the founding Patrons Mr William D Ferris AC and Mrs Lea Ferris.
