About the scholarship
The Harvard Club of Australia Weiss Family Technology Scholarship provides leading entrepreneurs with the opportunity to expand their knowledge base, experience and connections within the Harvard community in Australia and abroad.
The scholarship addresses three features of economic development in Australia:
- Eroding the higher barriers posed by the presence of geographic and capital constraints that come with building companies in Australia;
- Supporting the development of globally competitive technology companies built and grown in Australia;
- Encouraging the formation and growth of innovative companies in Australia to drive economic growth, global competitiveness, jobs and employment, social well being and sustainability
It is intended that the recipient will not only drive the success of their own venture in the future but also contribute to a thriving economy that benefits everyone. From creating jobs and improving productivity to introducing life-enhancing products and services, winners of this scholarship will play a vital role in shaping a better, more prosperous future for the Australian community.
Eligibility & Entry Criteria
Applications for the scholarship will open on 1 December, 2025 and close on 19 January, 2026.
Candidates must be Australian residents, founders of an Australian-headquartered technology company, and able to demonstrate the following attributes or achievements:
- Track record of high performance
- Leadership of a high-growth technology company, preferably a Seed - Series B stage company
- Development of industry-leading technology within their company
