HCA Principals Scholarship to Harvard

The Public Education Foundation’s Harvard Club of Australia Education Scholarship enables three principals of Australian government primary or secondary schools to undertake a short professional program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

HCA Education Scholarship will provide the successful applicants an opportunity to reflect, focus and recharge through a professional education program tailor-made for school Principals.

David Gonski challenged the HCA at its 2012 AGM to help put Principals on a pedestal. HCA then worked with the Public Education Foundation to create scholarships for public school principals in Australia to attend a one week professional development program at Harvard Graduate School of Education. The Public Education Foundation and Teachers Mutual Bank, HCA has supported over 25 public school principals from around Australia to attend a leadership course at Harvard over the past 5 years. HCA Education Scholarships were established by the Public Education Foundation and the HCA in 2013 with funding from the Origin Foundation.
