Lucy Wark earned a double first in Politics, Psychology & Sociology at Trinity College, followed by Management Studies at Cambridge's Judge Business School and a Masters in Social Science at the University of Chicago on the Trinity-Chicago exchange scholarship. She began her career as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, working with a wide range of Australian corporates and governments, before moving into the startup world and founding the sexual wellness brand Normal in 2020.

With a mission of normalising healthy conversations about sex and making great sex accessible to all, Normal's range of modern sex toys and essentials fund the creation of free online sex education which has been viewed over 50 million times, and featured in Vogue, The Australian, The Age, Sydney Morning Herald, Women's Agenda, Smart Company, TedX, SXSW Sydney and more. Lucy is also the co-founder of a second company, Fuzzy, an online platform making it easy to learn career skills like negotiation, and one of the creators of Grapevine, an initiative led by women in the Australian tech industry to reduce sexual harassment.

This may sound like an unusual background for one of Australia's leading sex toy entrepreneurs, but in this CamSoc Thinking At Twilight talk, Lucy will explore how many of the social science concepts learned in her Cambridge education are applied directly in challenging stigmas around sex and pleasure, as well as sharing some of her insights on building companies and driving social change.
