SYDNEY THANKSGIVING EVENT : An Evening of Fun, Food & Fellowship
Thursday 28th November, 2023, 6 - 9.30 pm – Tattersalls Club, 181 Elizabeth St, Sydney
We hope you can join us at our annual Harvard Club Sydney Thanksgiving celebration. As every year, this celebration is about ‘Giving Thanks’ and we will continue that tradition accompanied with a turkey dinner served with all the usual trimmings.
We are delighted to have secured a guest speaker for the evening, Adjunct Professor Jim Bond, who will address the topic of "The US, Australia and AUKUS: the maturing of a beautiful friendship". Adjunct Professor Bond splits his time between Harvard's Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington DC and the US Department of Homeland Security, also in DC. For the past generation he has held executive positions within and without the government intelligence community. Jim holds a Doctorate in Game Theory.
Aside from our speaker, there will be plenty of opportunities to socialise with fellow members and guests The evening will finish with a pie tasting – we have apple, pumpkin and pecan to choose from - or you are welcome to try all three! A vote will be taken at the end to announce the winner.
As is our custom during the evening, we will show some clips from the 140th Harvard V Yale football game, which this year is on Saturday 23 November at Harvard Stadium.
If you are in Sydney or are visiting, we would love you to come along to our annual event where you can hear a senior Harvard speaker and enjoy a delicious Thanksgiving meal, a football game and a fun evening of fellowship.
Ticket Price: $140. This includes dinner and beverages throughout the evening.
