Friday, April 22nd  9.45am - 11.45am (AEST) Virtual Meeting

Friday, April 22nd 7:45am - 9:45am (SGT)  In person

There are numerous opinions and insights on the current conflict in Ukraine, but why did this massive disruption occur at this time?

We invite you to join HBS Professor Rawi Abdelal for an in-depth discussion of his view on the origins of the conflict in Ukraine, why it happened now, how that matters and what might come next. Professor Abdelal will share insights based on his extensive research of Russia, Ukraine, the politics of oil and gas, and sanctions. He has written case studies about the Russian government after the fall of the Soviet Union, energy politics in Europe, and modern-day Ukraine.

This will be a hybrid event, where Professor Abdelal will join via zoom with a virtual and in-person audience (in Singapore).  A 45-minute presentation will be followed by a 30-minute Q&A session. We cordially invite you to join us in person or via Zoom. Note that this session will not be recorded.
