USA sprinter, Gabrielle Thomas has become the first Harvard graduate to win a track amd field Olympic medal. Thomas was awarded the bronze medal in women's 200 metre final on 3rd August in Tokyo. Gabby graduated from Harvard in 2019. She studied neurobiology and global health as an undergraduate. 


Gabby was recruited to Harvard to compete in the 100 m, 200 m, long jump, and triple jump. She was named the Ivy League’s Most Outstanding Track Performer in 2017 and 2018 and won the 2018 NCAA 200 m title.


“It really changed my life and shaped my time at Harvard, because ever since taking that course, I thought of everything I was learning in that lens,” Thomas said on the podcast My New Favorite Olympian.
