The Alumni Council of the Harvard Graduate School of Design in partnership with HAAUS present Design Impact Vol. 4: Regeneration: Design Strategies for a Resilient Future

A virtual event held on March 31st at 10am EST/April 1st 1.00am AEST

The event will examine alternative philosophies, initiatives and design practices within the framework of Regeneration for a more holistic approach to ensuring a sustainable future. Structured into two panels, the event will explore the potential for regenerative practices to shift our cultural, economic, social and ecological drivers for new whole systems design.

The first panel, “Regeneration: A Paradigm Shift,” will introduce the concept of regenerative thinking as supported by indigenous science, present an overview of regenerative economics, and explore case studies for applying these systems-based approaches to design. The second, “Regenerative Design: Systems, Technologies and Strategies” will present diverse tools for practice, including planning, preservation, biomimicry, indigenous activism, regenerative agriculture, and permaculture. Both panels will be followed by a moderated discussion and an audience question and answer session.

The event will bring together an outstanding roster of global leaders to share their work and vision, challenging us as a global community to use design as a tool for actionable, transformative change and healing. The event is free and open to all.
