Message from the President:

On Tuesday 9th March the Harvard Club of Australia and Sydney University held a Memorial for James Wolfensohn at the Great Hall. It was a wonderful opportunity for friends, colleagues and admirers of Jim to reflect on a Life Well Lived – a life dedicated to making our global community stronger. Thank you in particular to Chris Smith whose creativity and attention to detail ensured that the Memorial was well received by many. Two of our own members – Mark Johnson and Michael Murphy spoke beautifully on our behalf and Zeke Solomon provided extraordinary support in the background in terms of detailed knowledge of his life. In addition to speakers we also received beautiful words of encouragement from Prime minister Morrison and words of thanks from Naomi Wolfensohn. For those that are interested please click here for a link to the Memorial. It is approximately 1.5 hours long.

Vale James Wolfensohn – a remarkable man who has quietly provided such strength to the Harvard Club of Australia and our citizens through the creation of the Menzies Scholarship and the Wolfensohn Scholarship for Australian Public Servants.
