NOOSA WALK
DATE Saturday 20 September from 12 noon - 5pm
Members and guests are invited to enjoy the beautiful Sunshine Coast with lunch and a leisurely walk at the stunning Noosa National Park. Taking into consideration factors such as fitness levels, crowds, UV and the challenges of parking at Noosa, the plan is to meet at midday and have lunch at the Sunshine Beach Surf Life Saving Club. Lunch is at your own cost.
From this venue we’ll take Ubers to Main Beach at Noosa National Park. From here it's approximately an hour’s walk to Hell’s Gate. This is the pinnacle of the Noosa National Park walk that offers 270-degree views of the ocean and if we’re lucky, we might spot some whales, ospreys and dolphins. This route also has seating along the way and toilet facilities. From Hell’s gate we’ll walk back to Main Beach from where you can return to your vehicles or we can rehydrate somewhere at Noosa.
This is a wonderful opportunity to have a weekend holiday with many attractions around the area. One of our members (Sabine) lives at Peregian Beach and suggests taking in a sunrise view at 5:40am sharp from Peregian Beach followed by a walk on the beach or a swim and breakfast at 7am at a local vendor or at the Sunday Markets there.
Please bring suitable sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses), water, walking shoes and attire. In summary:
