DEFENCE & NATIONAL SECURITY SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP - QLD EVENT
THURSDAY, 7 AUGUST 6-8PM, THE BRISBANE CLUB
National security and defence are becoming increasingly complex, with rapid advances in technology, evolving strategic partnerships, and the rising importance of societal resilience. The choices we make today in these areas will shape the security and future of generations to come.
And so it is with great enthusiasm that we announce the launch of the Defence & National Security Special Interest Group (SIG) within the Harvard Club of Australia.
This SIG provides a dedicated forum for considered discussion, expertise-sharing, and strengthening our collective understanding. Here, Harvard alumni who have shaped, or aspire to shape, Australia's approach to pressing defence and security issues can connect—across public service, private industry, academia, and the broader community.
The launch is a celebration and a call to action. All alumni & friends with an interest in defence and national security—policy thinkers, industry innovators, veterans, service personnel, and those passionate about Australia’s long-term security—are invited to join us for our inaugural event on 7 August at the Brisbane Club. Through open discussions and expert-led events, we aim to foster strategic collaboration and promote engaged leadership during this critical time.
