On Thursday 5th November the WA Chapter of HCA hosted a panel discussion on the topic of Covid and Future of WA Sport at the University Club of WA.

The panel, moderated by HCA member Adil Cader, featured leading figures of WA sport;
  • Trevor Nisbett, CEO of the West Coast Eagles
  • Christina Matthews, CEO of the WACA
  • James Curtis, CEO of Football West
  • Troy Georgiu, CEO of Perth Wildcats
The discussion centred around the challenges of adapting to pandemic conditions such as  travel bubbles and restriction. WA's advantageous position, has allowed spectators at games which was a luxury that not all states enjoyed.  With Perth's Optus Stadium winning  the "World's most beautiful stadium" and its proximity to Asian, the panel discussed hopes that Perth could position itself as regional sporting capital for the future of WA Sport.

The event was attended by HCA WA members and from the WA Sporting Industry with special guest Perth US Consul General to Perth Mr David Gainer.
